Independent Schools Australia (ISA) congratulates Rachel Holthouse on her appointment as the new Chief Executive of Independent Schools Victoria (ISV).
ISA’s CEO, Graham Catt, commended ISV on the appointment, highlighting Ms. Holthouse’s background in leadership, education, advocacy and strategy.
“Rachel Holthouse’s appointment comes at an important time for Independent schools, and for Australian school education generally,” Mr. Catt said. “We look forward to working closely and collaboratively with Ms Holthouse and ISV to support schools, leaders, and the families of the 716,000 students they educate nationally.”
Ms. Holthouse will bring to ISV her 20 years of experience in the field, including roles at RMIT University and the University of Melbourne.
Mr Catt added that, “ISA also takes the opportunity to thank Meg Hansen, who served as Acting Chief Executive of ISV for the past seven months. Her dedication and commitment have been invaluable during this transitional period.”
Ms. Holthouse will officially assume her new role on 29 July.
ISA is the national peak body representing 1,216 Independent schools with close to 720,000 enrolled students, accounting for approximately 17 per cent of Australian school enrolments and a workforce of 122,000 people.
