Independent Schools Australia (ISA) supports the Universities Accord (Student Support and Other Measures) Bill 2024, which aims to make higher education more accessible and affordable, and to address the national teacher shortage. The Australian Universities Accord Final Report outlines goals to boost tertiary education places to meet Australia's future skills demands. ISA's submission supports measures which address indexation volatility’s impact on student debt, invest in the education workforce, provide cost of living relief for students, support FEE-FREE programs, and amplify the student voice.
