Independent Schools Australia (ISA) congratulates Dr Chris Duncan on his appointment as CEO of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia (AHISA).
ISA regularly works with AHISA on matters that affect Independent schools.
ISA CEO, Ms Margery Evans said, ‘AHISA is a great advocate for heads of Independent schools and we have enjoyed a good working relationship with the AHISA team under the leadership of Ms Beth Blackwood (AM) over the past seven years.
‘It has been a privilege to work with Ms Blackwood on issues that affect Independent schools.
‘Her contribution to education is considerable and I know she will be missed.
‘Dr Duncan comes to the CEO role with great experience in leadership, learning and governance.
‘I congratulate Dr Duncan and I am confident he will continue to develop and focus the organisation on key issues for heads of Independent schools.
‘We look forward to working with Dr Duncan on important matters that our organisations have in common,’ Ms Evans said.
ISA is the peak body representing 1,187 Independent schools with 667,259 enrolled students.
